Needing support is what makes us human
My journey of healing began 30 years ago with the practices of yoga and meditation that served as a doorway to finding inner peace and stillness that I could not get from my interpersonal relationships. After 10 years of teaching yoga, I volunteered on a domestic violence crisis hotline, and had first hand experience of listening to many stories of women experiencing intimate partner emotional and physical abuse. I became aware that many victims of domestic violence had also experienced relational and developmental trauma as children.
My curiosity about the impact of childhood trauma on intimate adult relationships guided me toward specializing in working with women.
In my approach to therapy I apply body-centered mindfulness based approaches to help relieve physical & emotional trauma symptoms, and teach you how to access self compassion so you can live more fully and happily in your daily life.
